Compare the SHA-256 above with the file you downloaded before installing (for example sha256sum ice-chat.apk). Android will ask you to allow installs from your browser the first time. Updates install over the old version and keep your chats.

Getting started

  • Install the app and pick a username. No phone number, no e-mail.
  • Write down your Recovery Key when it is shown. It is the only way back into your account if you lose your phone, and we can't recover it for you.
  • Share your username or QR code with friends, and compare safety numbers with the people who matter.
  • Have a licence key? Settings → Licence → Redeem key.
